lecture will be “Stars That Vary
in Brightness.” It will be given
Thursday and Friday, May 24-25th
at 8, with observation through the
telescope, weather permitting.

A bride of Saturday, May 12th,
was Clara Occhionero, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Occhionero, 1947
East 120th st., who was married to
Armend E. DePetris, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ubaldo DePetris at Holy Ros
ary Church.
She chose for her wedding a gown
of imported rosepoint lace and filmy
nylon trimmed with sequins and
pearl embroidery and carried a white
orchid, carnations and stephanotis on
a prayer book.
Ann Luciano was maid of honor
and wore blue taffeta. She carried
yellow carnations with blue bachelor
buttons. The bridesmaids, Lucille
Dominick and Helen Finocchi, also
wore blue taffeta but they carried
pink carnations with bachelor but
tons.
Mike Luciano was best man for
the groom and ushers were Ralph
DePetris and Mario Finocchi.

Kirk PTA knows that hard work
is worth it—when the results meet
expectations. And that is exactly
what their Carnival did to the
tune of 8794.45 net. Ways and
Means Chairmen, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Neiss made this surpris
ing report to the PTA at the May
9th meeting.
While most of the money will
go into the fund being raised to
build an acustical ceiling in the
Boys’ Gym, a sufficient sum will
be alotted the 1956-57 board to
sustain them for the coming year.
Mrs. Robert Weiss, Council pres

Webster, vice president Dr. L. L.
Myers, honorary vice president
Mrs. Maurice Barnes, recording sec
