Yes, at Easter time it is common to find that the feet of a child have grown only a half size since September but at back-to school time the same child may need a size or a size and a half larger shoe than was fitted five months before. It is customary to blame the rapid growth on going barefoot but the fact is that children who go barefoot most of the time (eg Hawaii) have very short broad feet. The important thing to remem ber is that, after infancy, foot growth is quite unpredicable so it is a very bad practice to buy shoes without bringing the child to the store to be fitted. David McGuire Performs In All-Ohio Orchestra David McGuire, a senior at Shaw High School, will spend) Friday, Saturday and Sunday in fColumbus rehearsing and per- -j forming with the All-Ohio High School Symphony Orchestra. Dave is a member of the Shaw Orchestra and is presi dent of the Shaw Band. He has been chosen to per form on the oboe and English horn with the All-Ohio organiz ation. These are the instruments that his father, Harvey McQuire,, plays in the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. This selected group of 120 young musicians will rehearse for two days at the new Youth Center on the Ohio State Fair grounds. Sunday, the organization will present a concert for those at tending the regional convention of the Music Educators Nation al Conference at the Deshler Hilton Hotel. Another East Clevelander is Ifalso in this orchestra. C. Aubrey Moore, who is the band and orchestra director in Cleve land’s Alexander Hamilton Junior High School. This display of talent and musician ship, which presented the studio with more trophies than any other studio in Greater Cleveland, proves again that this is indeed "THE STUDIO OF CHAM PIONS."
