The Baxter Telephone Com
pany will operate a pay station
at the reunion ground next week
Several phones will be installed
messenger boys will be employed
and the service will be first-class,
The Baxter Telephone Company
is nothing if not efficient and up-
to-date.
A plan is on foot to organize a
Piolucers' and Consumers' Asso
ciation to compel better prices,
the trusts now almost controlling
the output of lead and zinc. Each
camp will be visited by a com'
mittee and an effort made to
unite on some plan whereby bet
ter prices may be had and main
tained.
A. Hood & Sons have sold to
J. M. Cooper a new-style four
cylinder Buick automobile. John
Cooper, Jr., is as proud as a boy
with a new pair of red top boots.
Lew Winters is hauling straw
to the reunion grounds. It only
takes about twenty-five big
wagon loads to furnish bedding
enough for the camners.
The Clothing business at Has-
kett's is booming. The prices
are doing the work.
