The dead were employes ot the hotel. It is believed that all the guests escaped.. The fire followed an explosion on the fifth floor fn the north wing of the building. The en tire Dre department was called to the scene before the flames were con trolled. The bodies of the dead were burned beyond recognition. The Garde is one of the largest hotels in rho city.
