Last Friday a bad fire started in the timber east of Spring river, southeast of this city, and before it could be gotten under control it did a lot of damage to fences, orchards and other prop erty. A colored man named Jimmison lost his house, barn and other outbuildings. As dry as it is, it would seem that people would be careful with fire, but it seems no extra pre cautions are taken. Price, who was hurt about four months ago, while working on a building down fh the mining camp, died at his home in this city Friday even ing. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 5, after which the remains were taken to Billings, Mo., for interment. Mr. Price leaves four children besides his wife to mourn his death. Morgan of this city, died at her home in usweeo on Friday morning at 4 o'clock Mrs. Skinner was injured by fall on some icy steps and never recovered. Funeral services were held Sunday. No Wolves. The big wolf drive, which took place last Saturday, was devoid of results, so far as wolves were concerned, but about 25 jack rab bits and innumerable crows met a speedy death. Several of the farmers desire another hunt, and it is very likely another one will take place be fore long. There are severa wolves out in the Tar creek coun try, and they have done consider able damage. Chickens have been killed, and pigs and calves have been injured.
