Miller is producing a nice lot of ore from the old Last Chance diggings south of town. Cutting off two dollars per ton on the base price of high-grade ores, the buyers last week suc ceeded in jolting the local ore market more than at any period for several months. This is the third successive week that this cut of two dollars per week has been exacted, and yet the change in the metal market has not been appreciable until this wrk. when the cut in metal amounted to ten cents on the hundred. The highest settlement price was on ly $61 on- a high base of $58. Second grades went down un til as low as $54 was paid for some lots of ore. All told, there were some large . purchases of this class of ores, these buyers evidently considered the market a bargain one and making the most of the conditions that pre vailed over the field. Calamine ores were also weak and sold at $27 to $32 pT ton of 40 per cent zinc . ' The lead ore market . develop ed a tendency to lower levels and the base offerings were $64 for top grades and shaded downward as low as $60. . - Here is a. woman , who speaks from personal knowledge and long experience, viz., Mrs. Pr H. Some people think that a dentist that ad vertises is not on the level. There al ways will be a few narrow minded people in the world. Because yon find an oc casional trickster among advertising dent ists, that does not prove that all dentists who advertise are HUMBUGS. Might as well say that because some physicians occasionally go wrong, that the whole medical fraternity, is a farce. Or that since a few merchants take advantage of their customers, do yon' think the whole system ofretailing a graft ? I will say to the skeptical, I can only answer for myself, my work is on the level, I charge a rea sonable price for it (positively the lowest price at which good "Work can be done) and I guarantee my work for ten years.
