Big Doin's
Stage Employes Takes
Place August 19-20.
jfoa would think that the stage
employes would go into some theatre
if they wanted to hold a benefit af
fair but nothing doin' along this line
for the local Stage Employes union.
They say they get enough of the in
side stuff and they are going to get
some of the breeze when they give
their Annual Benefit on the Moose
lawn, Tuesday and Wednesday, Augus
19-20.
The scene shifting artists don't
think they can get enough of it in one
day so they are going to stage a
double-header of two days. This is
to be something different from the
usual summer out-door affairs. In ad
dition to ice cream and cake which
will be served to all ticket holders,
the boys are going to put on a free
vaudeville stunt that will be worth
more than the price of admission it
self. Splendid music will be heard and
Prof Jack Scheaf, the popular pres
ident of the organization, will be
there in full bloom and do the how-de
do's.

Moose is all ready for the entertain
ment of the big crowds which are
expected at the two days outing of
this popular organization.
The program prepared by the com
mittee is an elaborate one, no expense
sre
being spafed. Immediately upon the
arrival of the big parade, which will
be held at 1:30 P. M. Saturday, the
program will be carried out It will
be a continuous performance of enter
tainment from then on to the finish
Sunday night. There will be all the
usual attractions that go to make up
a big picnic in addition to which there
will be several special features. A
troop of black faced artists have been
engaged who will entertain both days
with singing and dancing acts. Jne
of the old time attractions, and one
that never seems to wear out, a bal
loon ascension with parachute drop,
will also be seen. Prof. Robinson
has been engaged for this feature.

But where the Moose always shine
is in their fireworks displays. Some
how the Moose are always fortunate
in digging up some new fireworks
company who are anxious to get a
footing in this vicinity and always
give big returns in the way of wonder
ful displays for the price of the con
tract. This year is to be no excep
tion. The contract has been awardod
to the Schenectady Fiieworks Com
pany, of Schenectady N. Y. who
promise the committee the finest dis«
play ever seen in Butler County.
Several pe*sons ai*3 to be made
richer on the "wo days of tlu outing
by reason of the Handsome prizes that
are to be given aw»iy. On Saturday
$100 wil be distributed and on Sunday
$200 will be handed out.
Many lodges from the surrounding
cities will send large delegations,
several of them will come with a
band and participate in the parade.
