ORDER Oi" PALE FACES.
lofortioo Concerning the Order---its Prin-
ciples and iiow to Organi; Csoips.
As constant inquiry is being made in
regard to the above order, we present the
following information, extracted from the
"theial organ published at Nashville, and
known as the PiUe-Pace Sentinel :
The first camp of the Order was organ
ized iu tbe city of Columbia, Tenn., ju
'.he yt.ii day of .January, 167. Soun after
its orgaiaziiitin a suliicient number uf its
members wi: hurew and organized Pleas
ci;t Grove Camp No. 2, at Pleasant (irove,
Tjnn. The third camp in gilllmil was Or
phan Camp inu. o, W, tu y of Nashville,
which was instituted by a portion of the
uiumlHii-s of Nos. 1 ana". L'ntil the or
puwCloa of the latter samp they all
worked by written ritu ils. As soon as
this iast camp was put on duiy its mem
bers seized hu.d Oj ilio work with a deter
mination to dissmi'uate its principles,
and at once bad the work of the Order,
and its constitution and by-laws priuted,
and to the energy and perseverance of Or
phan Camji is greatly due the success
which the order has attained. I: bs ad
vanced more rapidly, as Us history wifl
prove, than any other Order iu existence.
The O rand Cmu was orfranized in the
city ol Naattyille on the illl ot Jtart'h,
Jw. with M. W. J'. . P. Thomas J. Haile
as it. W. S. P., and held its first session
n Uoiarobiit. Ti-uiiessee. on the l..lt day

Whiie the order is uol a political one,

A bill so amending Ihe charter bus been
offered in our Legislature. It has already
