How often are people 'subjected to danger by fast cars rounding blind corners at a speed |comparable to a straight wide high way? Little children and eldcry persons v/ho aro not as agilo as others may bo, aro flirting with gasoline-driven doath, when they von turc out on the streets of t hi quiet little town. Selfishness, rccklossnos3 and the utter lack of regards for other lives and peace of mind constitute the consideration which some driver demonstrate, in addition to endang ering their own lives and property. For the edification of these •few drivers, may I suggest they 'road the following extract .from the ' Lav/3 of Alaska, See.5097 “It shall be unlawful to drive any vehicle or tho public highway, outside of In corporated towns....at a higher rate of speed than twenty-five mile per hour •. .for trucks..than twenty miles per hour, for trucks of one ton or less....and fifteen mil03 'per hournfor trucks over one ton ;capacity. Now for tho penalties for such violations, Sec.5099 states i?
