Info Available On Sending Gifts Abroad Everyone planning to send Christmas gifts abroad is asked to make certain that they have complied with the regulations of the foreign country, as well as the export licensing requirements of the United States, before sending their packages. Up-to-date information on send ;,'ing gift packages to more than 88 foreign countries is contained in a series of Department of Commerce circulars available on request. The circulars include information on size or weight limitations, marking instructions, prohibited articles, duty rates on many of the usual gift items, and other information of value to those sending gifts abroad. Contrary to popular belief, for eign countries generally do not make any provisions for the duty free! entry of gift packages. Al though a few countries do grant limited duty exemptions on gift packages, gifts usually are dutiable at the same rates as commercial shipments with the duty being paid by the recipient in the foreign . ounfcry. They remained there until 3:45 a. m., according to Olsen, when they decided to try to get off the boat. Unable to see because of the darkness, they managed to get to shore, and found a little cave which gave them some protection from the cold wind. Finally they edged along the cliff, and rounded two little points, then came to a sandy stretch, where they found Prior’s body. Both of his legs were man gled. Though weak, they managed to pull his body above the tide mark, where they left him and went on their way. Olsen left Carl under a cattle feed trough, and went in search of a shelter. He soon found a cabin which belonged to rancher Joe Zen tner. In it were firewood, supplies and a map indicating how to get to the Pasagshak road. Lighting a fire, Olsen then brought Lagerberg to the cabin where they remained overnight. Olsen started out at 6:30 the next morning, leaving Lagerberg. He hiked over the hills arriving on the road almost two hours later.
