Chiniak Turnover Gets Under Way Approximately 45 families will be effected by the change-over in operations at Chiniak with Lock heed taking over the contract at the installation, replacing Philco Corp. Some families, residing in Ko diak, are already moving, while others will move in a period over the next six months. Still others may be employed by Lockheed, it was reported. Bible Chapel Has New Innovations The Kodiak Bible Chapel has just installed a new Baldwin organ which has just been received from Anchorage, according to Pastor Woodrow Phillips. Pastor Phillips also said that the Bible and book store is now open daily, except Sunday, from 10 a m. until 7 p.m. Experience in life will soon teach you that when someone is very nice, there is something you can do in return for the favor. i"*' Services Of Holy Communion Set For Saint James Services of Holy Communion will be held this Sunday, Sept. 30, at 8 and 11 a m. from St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church. The Rev. Norman H. V. Elliott, rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Anchorage, will be the celebrant at the services to be held in the National Guard Armory. Father Elliott has served the Episcopal Church in Alaska for the past 11 years, and at one time was Archdeacon of the Yukon. He will arrive Saturday after noon and return to Anchorage Monday. In other announcements, the Rev. Donald M. Bullock, deacon in charge of St. James the Fisher man, said the Junior Episcopal Young Churchmen will hold a bake sale immediately following the 11 o’clock service Sunday. This is the group of ladies who sew altar linens for this parish and home missions. New members will be welcomed at this meeting and linens to be sewn at home will be distributed.
