Mr McLean, an instructor of voice in the eny and special wlmat at the Central Methodist church, brought two other artists along with him. , They were Miss Marian Stange. a .-tudent of voice under Mr. McLean and senior at Wayne university and Mrs Verne Venman. who accom panied Miss Stange and Mr. Mc- Lean. Although his major is grand and light opera, Mr. McLean brought I something new ar.. unique to Be j rea. His program was full of sincere and pure art. and hs pronunciation | was done with astounding skill ! that it was possible for the smallest | child to follow’ the theme of every song. Although not as large as was | hoped, the audience was an appreci ative one. j The program consisted of the fol ! lowing numbers: "Lift Every Voice" j —J. W. McWhorter claims he thought the man was armed with a knife instead of a gun and he was shot by the as yet unidentified holdup man. Two shots were fired. The bride in the traditional white satin and lace was Lillian Ferral, the groom, Edward Hall and of course there were brides maids attired in costumes of pastel shades and presented quite a lovely picture. There was a program preceding the wedding in which Miss Celes tine Williams, chairman of the pro gram committee, presided.
