Had been to visit her hubby’s brother. . .Dr. Jones who is very ill. .Was driving her smart car all alone. . and hurrying like mad... to get bar k to Claude... whose duties as trombonist with Cab Calloway’s oreb... prevented his making the trip with her.! It was good to see Alma again.,, after her absence of about eight years . she stunningly garbed. . .when we saw iug the duckiest chapeau. . and carrying a huge carton of fowl from the "Shack”.. .she bid us say hello to all her friends of her.... OUR house is seething with folk relations of Clem’s... from Chicago . .Geraldine Wimby. Clem's exotic cousin... a tall lass on the svelte side . with the loveliest long hair.. . . Her mother. Mrs. Ernest Stith Sr. . .her brother and his wife. . Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stith Jr.. . .and Alvin Heard.. .. We divided them up with their auntie. Mrs. John Jackson of Holcomb avenue. . .and have had a hilarious time com moting fr m there to mrr house, from our house down into Paradise Valley....We are all prostrated.... Evelyn Hammond... of New York... who used to visit The Joe Branam’s. . .is making her home here now. . .and is a charming addition t 00.... We met Warren Williams.. .uh huh, the one of the movies . . .Sonny Wilson saw to it.. . He is much older looking off the screen. . .but certainly a fine figure.. .and so courteous ...as to- feign an intense interest in our local amateur theatre... .He spent most of his leisure hours in Paradise Valley.... Earl Walton...was kind enough to have invited US to meet Dorothy Lamour and Robert Preston.. .when they appeared here in "Disputed Passage.”. . .They visited the "Studio". .We couldn't make it. . .what with spending our every moment now tussling- with-the Dwarfs and Snow YVJblte . ,jo sorry. .. but thanks Earl for thinking about me. Kaigler Feted At Party Many Attend Double Birthday Celebration Among numerous other October dates and., celebrations, we almost over-looked the delightful double birthday party, given by Mr. and Mrs. McAllister Grayson in their lovely home on Dubois street, honor ing Rev. E. R. Kaigler, well-known pastor of the Church of Our Father, 1958 Madison street, and his lovely wife, Amelia, who is now director of the Senior choir. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Gray son was a beautiful scene of Autumn loveliness when they received the many guests.
