Marah 5. was a_ his torical date for the 12 Horsemen's club subsidiary board; spon&ors of a National Defense party, in an all out effort to arouse their many friends and associates of the im portance of buying more defense bonds and stamps. It was indeed a gala affair, high lighted toy excellent entertainment and music by that old Master Jim my Davenport and his orchestra. Persons holding tickets with lucky numbers were awarded prizes of defense bonds and stamps. First prize went to Miss M. Bush of 444 St. Paul. Second prize went to Mrs. Velma Graham of 2018 Henry street. Third prize was awarded to Mil ton Groggins of 317 Eliot street. All proceeds of the defense party have been converted into defense bonds and stamps. The 12 Horseman's Subsidiary board has shown that clubs and other organizations can play a big part in our efforts to keep them flying.
