Cosby Host At Natal Party By GLADYS MILLS Harold Crosby was host at a | birthday party in honor cf his wife, Ruth, last Saturday, June 6, at their home on West Warren avenue. Mrs. Crosby received her guests in a_ smart black crepe frock, accented with frothy white organza collar and cuffs. Most of the activity centered in and about the really charming recreation room and bar in the basement of the Crosby home. A swell-elegant buffet supper was served :p the dining room, in the wee hours, with much levity and interesting repartee, beguiling away the remainder of the night, until the guests wended their ways homewards at dawn or thereabouts. War Films The United States Army has be gun to record a number of its train ing films with Spanish and Por tuguese sound tracks for use by the armed forces of Central and South American countries, the War Department disclosed today. The Chief Signal Officer of the Army, unjler whose direction more than 400 films have been made for the instruction of American troops, will provide suitable reels for the training of the troops in the friend ly neighbor republics. A special section is being set up at the Signal Corps Photographic center in New York, under the command of Colonel M. E. Gillette. Signal Corps, to handle the foreign language sound tracks.
