SATURDAY, JANUARY 15, 1944 Harold Johnsons In Gay Holiday Party Hosts To Many In Gala Dinner Party Saturday With Fun Galore By VIVIENNE One of the outstanding affairs of the past holiday season was the formal dinner party given by Dr •nd Mrs. Harold Johnson on New Year's day at the Johnson resi lience. The table with its shining all gold dinner service, was truly a thing of beauty. Promptly at seven © clock, the guests were seated, and the women in their lovely dinner gowns added to the attractive set ting. Smithfield Ham. goose, salad, po tatoes and of course the traditional black-e>ed peas comprised the menu. Cordials, Imported wines and effervescent champagne flowed In abundance. After dinner, the guests made merry in the Johnson recreation room. Dancing, bridge and games held the spotlight. Flowered Versions The current favor for hst.« with flowers is recognized ih forward - turbans, clustered with large roses, as in a half hat of jet w ith spangled ruffles of lace in back and a large rose tucked in *ront.
