Rocquemore studied at Hampton Institute School of D.esel Engine where he rated s.x of the 108 graduating. He is a graduate of Central high and was a war worker before ms induction. Lt. William H. Rocquemore, a brother, is stationed in France with the 377th Engineers hav.ng ar rived in France immediately after the invasion. He was inducted in to the service before Pearl Harbor. Another brother. Stephen, private first class, is with the Army Air Corps somewhere in the South Pa cific; but when last heard of he was in Washington; the other so far, is not known at this interview All three brothers are graduates of Central high school. 4 s V Si BROTHERS ON FURLOUGH Pfc. Leonard Parks is attached to the Military Police un.t, stationed at a camp in Louisiana. He was inducted in June, this year and was a war worker at he time of induc- tion.' He is a g r a d u ate of Central high school. He is marr.ed and a father of five children; his wife. Dorothy Parks, also a graduate of Central high school, lives in Elam Park. Pvt. Leonard is the son of Mr. and Mrs Archie Parks of Ken nelworth. His Leonard Parks father has been a member of the Flint Police de partment for more than 12 years * * * PROGRESSIVE PASTOR lIF».E The Rev. J. W. Walker, who comes from Albion where he was pastor for two years, is pastor of V'ernon Chapel M. E church His wife is also here with him. She plans a wonderful program among the women of the church and com munity. Before becoming the pastor of Albion church the Rev. Mr. Walker was for three years pastor in Wabash. Ind He hails from Chicago. He served as pastor in Morgan Park. 111. The pastor has been in the Michigan Conference of the Methodist church for more than 10 years. * * * FISKITES RETURN Marion Wright, daughter of Mr and Mrs Caro Wright of Mt Morris has matriculated at Fisk university. Nashville, this year. She returned with Gloriadean Mills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mills of Ala bama avenue, and Minnie Keys of Haggery court. The latter students are sophomores at the university. HONORED AT BIRTHDAY PARTY Romona Richardson was the re cipient of a lovely dinner given .n honor of her 16th birthday.
