SATURDAY, JULY 7, 1946 Out-Of-Town Visitors Feted By Mrs. Hicks By GLADYS MILLS Mrs. Victor Hick* of Philadel phia avenue was hostess at a re ception honoring her aunt, Mrs. M B. Cassell of Boston; her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Gossin of St. Louis, and Mis* Vivienne Hunter, also of St. Louis, at the Kappa Kastle last Sunday night, between the hours of 6 and 10 pm. The above mentioned guest* will be the house guests of the Hicks for the summer. Hostesses assisting Mrs. Hicks were Mrs. Blanche Lewis. Mrs. F.laine Conway. Mrs. Anna Smith. Mrs. Marguerite Fuller, and Mrs. Carrie Kemp. The table was cov ered with a gold damask cloth, centered with red roses. The host, ess wore a gray and red print; Mrs. Cassell was stately in peach lace; Mrs. Gossin chose a tomato red print and Miss Hunter was statues que in black and white. Popular Texas Couple Repeat Marriage Vows SHERMAN, Texas.—ln a recent ceremony performed by the Rev. J E. Dickey, Miss Lucille I. Moss, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F B Moss Sr, 617 Richard street, became the bride of Joseph J Anderson of Waco. Texas The wedamg took place in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ward of Sherman. The bride wore a white mar qu’sette dress and she wore a string of pearls, a gift of Mrs Ward. She carried a white pray er book. Her corsage was of white gardenias. Her only attend ants were Miss Thelma Fay Dill and Enutt McDonald, her brother. He received his education in the public schools of Waco, and will ro.-ume his college training this fall. O The Ohio State Federation of Colored Wom en's Clubs held an executive meeting in Delaware Friday, with Mrs. Jessie Gardner, president of the Southeast district, the hostess group, presiding. The meeting was held at St. Paul ME church, larg est kvhite church of its denomina tion in Delaware. The committee went on record as urging the representatives of the Ohio women's clubs to sup port the Fair Employment Prac tices Committee and the anti-po'l tax bill. Since 1942 the number of clubs has grown from 70 to 103. with the membership increasing from 900 to 1.511.
