Army officials re plied that the men would not be removed, unless they were re moved by navy personnel. The clash between members of ’he two branches of the service on the race question us said to have resulted in bad feeling. The 123 men in the Negro truck company were snatched off the Croatan. a baby flattop, because there are no segregation facilities on the flight deck of the ship.
