Yesterday noon it became known that
a cai load of hard coal had just been
switched into the jards of the Noithwest
ern Fuel company at Cedar avenue and
Lake street and would be sold in the aft
ernoon, in hundred-pound lots, to the hrst
comers The time set bv the oompany
was 2 o'clock, and long before that houi
the office was filled with people all clam
oring for tickets that weip to be ex -
changed at the car by their fortunate
possessors for the piecious anthracite.
