past week, all testifying to the splendid results received
unnecessary- .
The judges have decided on three answers
which are to receive the cash prizes amounting
to $10. The winners in the first contest will re
ceive their checks by mail Sept. 1.
The judges after reading the large number of
replies, found so many worthy of mention, that
they suggested the selection and publication of

and the making of this contest more interesting
by giving the public an opportunity to pick out
from the lot^thirteen answers decided upon.
The Journal offers NINE' additional cash
prizes, $30.00 in qUr to the, persons making the
nearest guess ^to the thirteen answers, in the
order that they were selected by the judges.

Want Ad Editor, Journal-
Dear Sir: In tb-nlghfs paper you otter a series of prites
for answering the following question: "Why is The Journal
the unexcelled want advertising medium of the northwest?"
In my opinion this question is easily answered. To sub
stantiate It I give the following very good reasons: "First,
because it has the largest circulation of any paper in the
northwest (whltfh has been proven) second, because it has
an especially large circulation among the business men
third, because business men and others as well recognise in
The Journal an advertising medium that reaches the masses
&nd thru which they are assured of quick and satisfactory
results fourth, because my own individual experience with
The Journal has been such that I have no hesitancy in indors
ing it highly to all desiring speedy, satisfactory and splendid
results, which are certainly obtained thru The Journal.
