M. 4500-4501. Twin City, 86-116. Wednesday Evening, HUNGARIANS PLOT AGAINSMHE KING Former Premier Believed to Be "ImplicatedPresent Premier to Retire. Budapest, Sept. 13.Baron Desierdius Banify, former premier, royal court marshal and king's chamberlain and recently one of the leaders Of the united opposition in the Hungarian ^parliament, seems to be seriously compromised as the result of an investigation made by the police of Budapest. The, that of a Budapest j case is urna list Juliu Arpad Zigany, who had written a trea sonable pamphlet asking the Hun garians to depose the Hapsburg dynas ty and to elect the German emperor's second son, Prince Eitel Frederick, as king. The pamphlet was confiscated thru out the whole of the dual realm. A letter has just been found on Zigany, who is under arrest, from which it would appear that Baron Banffy at least favored tne publication of the pamphlet, if it was not inspired by him. Premier Resigns. Vienna, Sept. 13.General Baron Fe iervary, the Hungarian premier, after long interviews with the king-emperor yesterday, tendered his resignation. It is understood that the resignation will be accepted and that his majesty will in the next few days receive Francis Kossuth and other members of the united opposition in the Hungarian par liament to arrange a compromise. The reason the premier resigned was because the king-emperor refused to consent to the carrying out of his scheme for the granting of universal suffrage to the Hungarians. Parliament will meet on Sept. 15, when Premier Fejerbary is expected to present a decree of prorogation and at the same time accept the resignation of his cabinet. PLUMS AND PLUNGE NEARLY GOST A LIFE New York Sun Special Service. New Bochelle, N. Y., Sept. 13.Har- ry D. Whittle and R. T. Forbes, two Westchester county editors, on going down to have a swim in the sound, spied two pretty girls in bathing suits eating luncheon on the rocks. They proved to be Esther and Nancy Bar nard, two college girls of Evanston, 111., spending the summer with friends in Eoehelle Park. The girls invited the editors to dine with them and they accepted. Together with other things, the girls had a plum pie, of which Whittle ate two pieces. Then he went for a swim, taking Miss Esther Bar nard along in a rowboat. They rowed out about 300 yards and then capsized the boat. They were having a good time when Whittle was seized with cramps. His limbs became paralyzed and he called vigorously for help. Forbes got a lifeguard and hurried to the rescue. When they reached Whit tle he was unconscious and Miss Bar nard was holding his head above wa ter with one arm while with the other she clung to the upturned boat.
