Broderson, who accidentally shot hiin
while they were hunting together, he
little thought that his only recovery
would bo the gun which shot him.
The judgment was rendered bv the
state district court on Nov. 29. Today
Broderson filed a bankruptcy petition
with the clerk of the. "United States
district court. The -judgment was list
as the only indebtedness. Clothing
valued at $75 was listed as assets in
one part of the schedule and claimed
as exempt in another.

John 0. Hanley Is Indicted by Federal
Grand Jury in St. Paul.J
John C. Hanley was indicted yes
terday by the federal grand "jury, in
session in St. Paul, on the charge of
using the mails in furtherance of a
scheme to defraud. The indictment
charges that last May Hanloy and two
others organized the Consolidated Faim
& Ranch company, with an authorized

are three in number. The first charges
that on May 28 Hanley received a
letter from iNels Holmquist, mailed at
Minneapolis, and enclosing a check for
$30 in part payment far $220 worth of
stock. The second count charges that
on June 28 Hanley received a letter

Mitchell, S. D., Dee. 7.At the Planklnton
cafe last night, two masked robbers held up a
crowd of fifteen men. While one robber stood
guard, the other searched the victims. The rob
bets secured several hundred dollars.

JUMPS FROM BRIDGE
Man Is Believed to Have Committed
Suicide in St. Paul.
A pedestrian reported to the St. Paul
police today that an unknown man had
jumped from the Robert street bridge.
The police found a hat floating in. the
river, but have been unable to secure
other verification of the report or any
clue to the suicide's identity.
