Gleason are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hector Baxter at 4200 Park boulevard, Linden Hills. Mr. and Mrs. Gleason are on their way to the Yellowstone and to the Pacific coast collecting material which Mr. Gleason will use in a series of illus trated lectures. The Great Northern Railway com pany has purchased the half block on Third, street,- St. Paul, between Sibley and Wacouta, and directly adjoining the half block on which the St. Paul union station is situated. The deed does not show the price paid, the consideration mentioned in the instrument being $1. That the price was large, however, is certain from the fact that unimproved property in the immediate vicinijty, Bold for $500 a front foot. Officials of the Great Northern road refuse to. throw any light on the pur chase. It is probable, however, that the property- is to be used some day for a new union station.
