If he happened to be a real business man, he responded reluctantly; sometimes, indeed, he declined. He had af fairs of his own and wanted to give them attention. To turn his thought and detail at t e n t i o n to saving m oney o r m a king money for some one else did not appeal to him. The modest fees of an executor were not attractive. In our next talk, xvc will tell more about the active interest which the State as serted in the affaitn of men who died, and the complex code which took the plare of the simple statutes of our fore fathers. AUGUSTA, GA., April 12.?City Council and the Augusta-Aiken Railway and Electric Corporation came to agreement tonight, and the street cars, which have been in the barn for a month, will resume ope ration Saturday. The cars were halted because unrestricted compe tition by jitneys had cut deeply into the company's revenue. The city now agrees to restrict jitney operations to the extent of not allowing them to take on or dis charge patrons within one block of streets on which street cars run. Street car fare is 7 cents when tick ets are purchased, and 10 cents for casual riders. Virginia Railway & Power Company Overcoming the Handicap of Distance YOU can talk to any place in the United States where there is a telephone. You can even talk to Cuba! Your Held is unlimited. 0 You may seldom, if ever, have occasion to talk to points hundreds of miles away, but you do have use for service to nearby places. A telephone call will do away with the necessity of many time-consuming trips. A few minutes at the telephone often save hours of time. The rates are reasonable, and station-to-station rates arc greatly reduced after 8:30 P. M. The pages in the front of your telephone directory explain the different classes of calls and reduced rates fully. The minimum reduced rate is 25 cents.
