Mrs. Anna Horrocks Martin Dead. Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN, Oct. 22. Mrs. Anna HorrockB Martin, widow of the lato Patrick Martin of this city, died this morning at her residence. Slto leaves a number of chil dren of the Horrocks family. The day of the funeral 1ms not bcon announced but tho services will probably be held at St. Joseph's cathedral. Fred Garth Held Up. Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN, Oct. 22 Fred Carth, a ma chinist employed by tho Southern Pacific railroad, was held up this evening at the corner of Twenty-fourth' street and Wall avenue and relieved of his gold watch and about $G in cash. Police Officer Jerry Kclllher was at onco notified but tho description which Carth was able to furnish him was meagre. No arrests have been made. Army Man in Ogden. Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN, Oct. 22. Lieutenant William Brunzell of tho Eleventh United States infantry and now stationed at Fort D. A. Russell, Wyoming, is visiting in this city, with his wife, at tho home of her par ents, Judge and Mrs. S. T. Corn. Lieu tenant and Mr3. Rhodes, formerly chief clerk of the railway mall servlco In Ogden, but recently promoted to the same position In San Francisco, left this afternoon for the coast, after spending several days supervising the weighing of tho malls here and at other Junction or terminal points, W. E. Costello, formerly superintendent of the Utah division of the Short Line, but now Inspector of transportation on all the Harriman lines, is in Ogden, after an extended trip over the systems in the West and Northwest. He was warmly re ceived by the resident officials. W. B. Scott, assistant to Julius Krut schnltt, director of maintenance and op eration on the Harriman linos, Is In Og den, gathering data on the physical con ditions of terminals, and will make a tour of the entire system from Chicago to the coast. Ernest Rhine, son of "Jalte" Rhine, the old Union Pacific passenger conductor, who has been 111 with pneumonia for a number of weeks, is now rapidly recov ering. He Is a signal maintalner on the Union Pacific at Carter, Wyo. William H. Chevers, general agent of tho Harriman lines In Ogden, who has beon in St. Louis on company buisneaa for three weeks, returned home Monday night and is again on duty at tho freight depot. General Superintendent E. Stanger of the Rio Grande lines came up to Ogden today In his car Wasatch, and was tho guest of General Agent A. J. Cronln at the Weber club. Tho County Commissioners will meet 1 Ogden with the State Board of Equaliza tion Thursday morning. The purpose of the meeting has not been disclosed. J. G. COALVTLLE, Oct. 22, A busy session of the District court was hold hero yes terday morning by Judge C. W. Morse, tho following business being transacted: Estate of Margaret V. Lawson, de ceased; order of sale of personal prop erty. Estate of James H. Clark, final account approved and order of distribution of es tate. Guardianship of William Rcoves et al., minors; order of sals of real property. Estate of John M, Harrington, de ceased; final account approved and dis tribution of estate. Estate of Georgo Jacobson, deceased; same order as above. Estate of C. C. Sargent, deceased; re turn of sale of personal property con firmed. An order was made for thirty Jurors to try the cases at the November term of court, returnable November 25, at 2 o'clock p. m. Two mlsmatcd couples were granted divorce on the grounds of desertion, as follows. A. L, Clancey vs. William M. Clancey; and John A, Robinson vs, Agne,s Robinson. In the case of Pat Clark vs. J. Stovall Is an oper ator and got mixed up In a scrap at Cas tle Rock about a month ago. He was bound over to the District court on tho charge of assault with a deadly weapon, but by consent of tho District Attorney, this charge was dismissed, and the one of battery substituted. State vs. Ellas Plchules. Soren X. Chrlstensen, acting as attorney for the defendant, entered a plea of guilty to tho charge of embezzlement, and the court Imposed a fine of $50. State vs. Dennis Holland, Richard Handley and Mlko Harrington; these de fendants wero bound over to the District court on the charge of burglary In tho second degree, but on recommendation of the District Attorney and County At torney Wight they were allowed to plead to the charge of burglary In the third degree, to which they entered a -plea of gulltv, and were sentenced to hard labor in the State prison for the term of six months. The defendants broke into a saloon In Park City last month and stole enough whisky to load up good. They were taken to Salt Lake this morning.
