Spencer. In the Maude Allan libel case, declared he had informed prac tically every member of the Govern ment of the existence of the book con taining names of prominent English men and women upon whom German agents had some hold, by blackmail or otherwise. His story was ?o start ling that the case developed finally into a ?lece of medical testimony in an attempt to determine whether Spencer was sane. During the trial Spencer said he was unable to get any action regard ing hla revelations even from political leaders.
