She refused to give her name, saying it would mean her death warrant, but she disclosed a promising clew to the identity of the four gunmen who put over the big robbery. Co-operative means of materialising the effort* to stimulate end broaden missionary spirit in the Baptist denomination are planned with the convening of Beptlsts of the District into conference in the Calvary Baptist Church Tuesday and Wednesday. Speakers of the Southern and Northern branches of the sect will be present. and E. Hilton Jackson. moaeratoi' of the Columbia Association of Baptist churches will preside. Arrangements for these sessions are being made by Rev. F. Paul Langhornc, District of Columbia director of the Board of Promotion, assisted by Mrs. O. E. Howe, chairman of the local committee of pastors and lay-workers. Primlaeat Speakers. The principal speekers at the ftrst of the sessions will be Dr. John T. Aitchison. director of the General Board of Promotion and head of the new world movement of the Northern Baptists, and Dr. J. F. Love, corresponding secretary of the foreign board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Dr. Sumner P. Vinton, former missionary, traveler and lecturer, will give an Illustrated talk introducing some unusual features. Session for Woara. The session Wednesday morning will be devoted to women. Dr. Joseph C. Bobbins, foreign secretary of the American Baptist Foreign Missionary Association, and Dr. Love, will be the speakers. The conference will be closed with a mass meeting on Wednesday night when the closing addresses will be made by Drs. Robins and Scarborough. Asks Law Requiring Afflicted to Register The enactment of a law compelling all afflicted with social diseases to l?e registered was advocated by Dr. Howard Fisher, health officer of the District of Columbia, at a community meetin* of parents held in cooperation with the Health Department and the United States Pub'ic Health Service. Dr. Fisher claimed that every State excepting the District of Columbia had laws regulating the registration and treatment of social diseases. William Knowles Cooper, secretary of the Y. M. C. LIVED OVER 3 YEARS LOCKED IN ROOMS NEW YORK, April S.?Hoboken health authorities and the police today began an investigation of the ntraiyge case of two wompn, one 60, the other 4E, both apparently welleducated and having moderate means, who, since January. 1918. have kept themselves locked In three rooms at Meyers' Hotel, Hoboken. The elder woman, whose name was given as Miss Carrie Sunderland, was found in bed, so ill. It w*s said, she could not live more than three weeks. The younger woman said she was Mrs. Fannie Miller. She said th??y had lived for over three years entirely on canned goods which they ordered from a New York store by mail, and milk which was delivered t the door. They paid $30 a week for the suite, making payments by ohecks which they left in envelopes at the door. Brotherhood Rebuffs Aid Plea of Banished Leaders CLEVELAND, April 8.?Brotherhood chiefs here today said they had received a telegram from the railroad union leaders forced out of Harrison.
