Y. Herald, to-day. Judge Wylle deserves hearty praise for the man- , ner In which he expressed his mind yesterday about the printed abus? that has been flung at him every day from two Washington pressrooms. He said: "These hireling llbeiers need not believe that they can terrorize the administration of . justice In the District." The Judge's spirit will i be commended everywhere. If base men are al- < lowed to thwart the purposes of justice in the District of Columbia and beneath the shadow of j the Capitol by out and out bullying, the courts | should adjourn permanently. ?? ? A C.love FigPit Against the Law. 1 From the X. Y. Sun, to-day. Corporation Counsel Whitney lias prepared an opinion In answer to Mayor Grace's communlca- J tloa about the coming glove tight between John L. , Sullivan and "Tug" Wilson. Tlie opinion will r.ot be m ide public until to-day. it is understood, ; however, that the corporation counsel holds that j a glove fight under the conditions agreed on in thi v case comes clearly within the law against priz" fighting, and can therefore be prohibited 1 by the mayor and the police authorities. ? , Theft of State Archives.?It Ins been discovered that many court records, valuable historical relics, and some books worth almost Cieir weight in gold, have been stolen from a basement room of thecapitolat Nashville, Tenn., and sold as waste paper. i THE IMPERISHABLE PERFUM E.
