Tnls morning, In the Police Court, Jos, Camp bell, the grocer and liquor dealer at 20th and K streets northwest, was placed on trial, charged with keeping an unlicensed bar. Mr. Campbell appeared for the defendant and entered a plea ot nut guilty, oillcer John C. Daley, of the second precinct, testified that the defendant lias a whole sale license. Some days ago witness gave two colored men money aud saw them go In the de fendant's place and gel something to drink. "How often do you drink?" persisted the Judge. "Idon't make a regular practice of It," was the reply. "Are you drinking now?" asked Mr. Padgett. "Yes, when somebody else pays for It," answered the witness.
