The Oyster Supply.
The prospect yesterday morning w.i* good
for a shortage In the oj-sier supply aboard
the vessels at the oyster wharf at the foot
of 11th street southwest, as only three boats
were at the wharf, and the supply aboard
them was limited. As a consequent prices
were high and the outlook was for them
g'oing still higher; but the arrival of the
tug Yerkes with a tow of eight oyster-laden
boats yesterday afternoon put an end to
danger of shortage for the present, snd
while prices have not como down any they
axe kept at only moderately high figures.
This morning good oysters could be bought
at from 65 to 70 cents per busJiel, and
ranged from those prices up to (1 per bushel
for the selected stock. All tho oysters on
sale are from the beds In the lower Poto
mac.
After a wstch of a fortnlsht. the Boston
