A pretty home wedding took place this
afternoon, when Miss Doretto Shepherd

Keitliley. The ceremony was performed
by Rev. F. W. Johnson, pastor of Grace
Baptist Church. The bride wore a gown
of brocade white satin with overdress of
white marquisette, trimmed in Venice lace,
and carried a bouquet of bride's roses.
The house was tastefully decorated with
autumn leaves, goldenrod, ferns and
chrysanthemums. After the reception the
couple left for a trip to New A'ork. Phil
adelphia and Atlantic City. Tlic bride's
traveling suit was of dark green velvet
with hat to match. On their return they
will reside at No. 15 6th street northeast,
and will he at home to their friends after
October 24, 1012.
Wednesday evening last the residence
of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Schwab, 4122
New Hampshire avenue northwest, was
the scene of a happy birthday party
gtven in honor of the sixteenth birthday
of their daughter Katherlne. Their beautiful
new house was decorated with flowers
and bunting, and Miss Katherlne was
the recipient of many pretty and useful
gifts. After musical selections and the
playing of games the party adjourned to
the dining room for refreshments. Those
