Mich*, October 10.— ; The Baraga County Grange announced i today that it had received 'from the offices of Henry Ford a denial that the motor manufacturer ever had issued an order that all onployes must plant gar dens or lose their jobs. The Orange had protested the order In a resolution forwarded to Mr. Ford. It announced receipt of a letter to day from W. J. Cameron of the Ford company, saying that a remark by Mr. Ford while Inspecting properties at Iron Mountain had been misconstrued and enlarged upon. The letter said that Mr. Ford ‘‘sug gested that It would be a good thing all around If his men took more pride In their homes. Lawns and gardens were suggested. 1 “Since the great majority of Ford i employes live in cities, where they In habit flats and apartments. The home had been main tained solely for the cat, under the will of Its mistress. Dr. Maud Cain Ide, wh® died in October, 1930. It died of a heart ailment at the age of 18. Proceeds from the sale will be added to the $265,000 estate left by Mltzl’s late mistress, most of which went to charity. Among the articles will be a four posted bed on which Mitzi had slept.
