Chapter Mrs. Claude Allen Cook, regent of the Abigail Hartman Rice Chapter. Daugh ters of the American Revolution, an nounces the thirteenth annual conti nental ball to be held at the Kennedy- Warren Friday, November 27, at 10 o'clock p.m. The proceeds of this ball are used to further the work of the chapter in the fields of Americanisation and patriotic education. Miss Ramona J. Newman, vice re gent of the chapter, to chairman of the ball. Mrs. Thomas Franklin Stewart is chairman of the Patrons’ Committee and Mrs. George Sullivan vice chair man. Miss Frances Sherman is chair man of the Young Ladies' Committee and Miss Doris Heaton vice chairman. Miss Dorothy Gatchell is chairman of the Young Men's Committee with Miss Audrey Belt as vice chairman. The Abigail Hartman Rice Chapter is the young ladies’ chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the beautifully decorated ball room of the new Kennedy-Warren will fur nish a proper setting for this gay event. A card party in conjunction with the ball will be held at 8 30 o'clock p m Card tables will be placed in the lounge cf the Kennedy-Warren. The card players will thus be insured quiet amid charming surroundings, but they will be welcome in the ball room, where they may view the dance from the lounge or a luxurious and comfortably furnished balcony. The program will be gin at 9 o'clock. The wearing of cos tumes will be optional. A novelty dance will be introduced during the evening, in which the winner of the contestants will receive a prize. A short program has been arranged by the Entertain ment Committee and exceptionally good music has been provided.
