CLIMAX DUE TODAY ■ IN HAWAII “BATTLE” “Blues” Have Three Days to Take Islands From Foe in War Game. By the Associated Press. HONOLULU, February 11—A climax In the war game, in which possession of the Hawaiian Islands is at stake, eras expected today. Army and Navy pwces of the United States are the combatants. The islands are being defended by a ‘Black'’ force, which the attack ing "Blue" force seeks to dislodge by landing troops and capturing "Black" defenses. Three days remain for this task. If by Sunday the "Blue" force Is still at sea, "Black" will have won the "war.” Army flyers, doing night patrol duty for the "Black” defenders, reported shortly before midnight to "Black" headquarters they had sighted most of the attacking fleet off the Oahu Island coast line. Word immediately went down the line to prepare for a dawn offensive by the “Blue" fleet. Ships of the “Blue” force have 40 000 troops for the attack on the island. “BUD” STILLMAN TO GIVE MEDICAL CAREER TO POOR Friends Says Son of Banker Has Pledged Life as Doctor to Charitable Work. By the Associated Press. BOSTON, February 11.—The Boston American says in a copyrighted story that James A. "Bud” Stillman has pledged his life as ^ doctor to service among the poor. Stillman, son of the New York banker, James A. StUlman, and heir to a huge fortune, is a student at Harvard Medical School. The American says Stillman's friends revealed yesterday that he will devote his career as obstetrician and specialist in women’s ills to charitable work among patients of free institutions. He is a daily attendant at the clinic of the Free Hospital for Women, in Brookline, studying among poor patients the problems he will encounter later in life, the American says. * RESERVE AIR OFFICERS ENTER U. $. ASSOCIATION Bolling Field Chapter Formed by Residents of Capital and Vicinity. Reserve officers of the Army Air Corps in the National Capital and vicin ity, at a meeting Wednesday night In the War Department, formally organ ized the Bolling Field Chapter of the Reserve Officers’ Association of the United States. Capt. Leroy J. McCarty, Washington realtor and war-time Army pilot, was elected president. Capt. Jesse W. Lankford, Department of Commerce, Aeronautics Branch, was elected vice president and Capt. Otis F. Tabler secretary-treasurer. Members of the association are keep ing up flying training at Bolling Field, and last Sunday pul up a three-ship formation for formation training.. This will b? expanded later to five-plane formation flying.
