presidential campaign will be discussed
tonight by John W. Davis In a speeial
broadcast over WMAL and a network
of associated Columbia Broadcasting

Geneva Program Slated.
Columbia's midweek rebroadcast from
Geneva will bring a review of the world
disarmament conference by Frederic
William Wile, veteran radio political
analylst. The broadcast Is scheduled
by WMAL from 6:01 to 6:15.
The "Adventures In Health" program
at 10:15 will feature a talk on the
common head cold by Dr. Herman N.
Bundesen. health commissioner of Chi
cago. "Don't Let a Cold Catch You"
is his subject.
Old and new melodies make up the
Fart Freight cargo. The selections in
clude "Tiger Rag," "Is That Religion?"
and "Song of th* Musketeers."
The strange mating dances of the
birds of paradise in Guinea will be de
scribed by Dr, Lee S. Crandall, curator
of birds at the New York Zoological
Park, when he Is interviewed tonight by
Grantland Riee during the weekly
sports period over WRC and other
National Broadcasting Co. stations. Dr.
Crandall recently returned from New
Guinea with 40 birds of paradise for
the zoological collection.
Krelsler Works Offered.
A program made up entirely of the
works of Fritz Krelsler, famous violinist,
will be offered bv Gladys Rice. Doug
Stsnbury and Nathaniel Shilkret's Or
chestra from 9:30 to 10. The guest
artists will be Lou Rader and Yacob
Zavde, violin duo.
John Philip Sousa's "Pairest of the
Fair" will be played by the composer
and his band in the concert from 8 30

to, was postponed yesterday by Justice
James M. Proctor in Criminal Division
until Friday, April ft. An appeal from
nis conviction of murder in the first
legree in connection with the death of
Policeman Harry J. McDonald July 21,
1929, is pending in the Court of Ap
peals and is expected to be decided
next week.
Aldridge was granted a new trial last
year by the United States Supreme
Court when it held that the trial Jus
tice erred in failing to aak whether the
prospective jurors would be prejudiced
because the accused had killed a white
nan. Aldridge again was convicted.

Janitor Admits Using Ice Pick in
Rittenhouse Street.
The mystery of an unusual number
of flat tires in the 1000 block of Rit
tenhouse street since the first of the
year was believed solved with the arrest
of James A. Robertson. 37, colored,
janitor of a building in the 61000 block
of Georgia avenue.
Robertson was arrested by police of
No. 6 precinct on eight charges of de
stroying private property and admitted,
according to police, he had been
puncturing the tires with an ice pick.
Yesterday five persons complained
that the tires on their cars had been
flattened during the night.
