De cember after selling up to 12.34, re acted to 12.29, while March eased off from 12.45 to 12.41. Orders seemed to be pretty evenly divided and the market held steady at the end of the first half hour with active months ruling about 2 to 5 points net higher. Houses with trade connections abroad, said Liverpool in terests, were buying on new arbitrage operations, apparently in expectation of narrowing differences between the two markets. Early cables from Liverpool re ported a quiet market there with prices steady on scattered buying, partly for Bombay and continental ac count. The buying tapered off somewhat after the close of Liverpool, but offer ings were absorbed on moderate set backs, and the market held steady late in the morning. At midday December was holding around 12.30 and March 12 43, with active months ruling about 3 to 4 points net higher. Chicago Grain By the Associated Près».
