' U. S. BONDS MOVE UPWARD BRISKLY Late Demand Is Heavy, Corporate Divisions Have Mixed Trend. Br the Associated Press. NEW YORK, January 11.—United States Government Issues continued to move upward as demand assumed large proportions in the late bond market trading. The corporate divi sion had a mixed trend. Treasury loans showed gains rang ing from 4/32ds to 20 32ds of a point, and the 3s, 3%s of. 1943-47, 3^,5 afld 4s were leaders of the upswing. Home Owners' Loan 234s reacted a bit after an early rise of more than H point. Industrial and utility Hens showed a generally higher price range, but low-priced rails were inclined to heaviness. The association of American rail roads announced today that loadings of revenue freight for the week end ing January 5, totaled 498,073 cars, an Increase of 72,953 over the preceding week, but a decrease of 2,740 irom the corresponding week in 1934 and an Increase of 5ft,604 over the 1933 period. Miscellaneous freight totaled 181, 990 cars, an increase of 33,588 over the preceding week, 11,149 above 1934 and 39,852 above 1933. Less than carlot merchandise totaled 120,951 cars, an increase of 6.988 over the preceding week, but 7,437 below 1934 and 6,705 below 1933. Coal amounted to 127,545 cars, an Increase of 20,067 over the preceding week, but 3,791 below 1934, and 22. 856 above the same week In 1933. ' CHICAGO, January 11.—Uneasi ness regarding alleged unconstitu tionality of gold clause abrogation started persistent selling of grains to day, and tumbled wheat and corn prices down. Wheat broke to below the dollar a bushel mark for May contracts, with May corn off to around 89. Much of the selling was ascribed to Eastern sources. Wheat closed weak at almost the day's bottom level, l%a2ft under yes terday's finish, May 99V»a94; corn, Via2% off, May 88;*a89; oats, \\\a2 cents down and provisions at 25 to 40 cents decline.
