ERNEST SPENCER DIES NEAR LA PLATA Prominent Charles County Physi cian, 65, Was Active Mason and Longtime Resident. By the Associated Press. LA PLATA Md., March 13.—Dr. Ernest Spencer, prominent physician of Charles County, died yesterday afternoon at his home at Bel Alton, near here. He was 65 years old. Dr. Spencer had been in a Balti more hospital for two weeks and re turned home last Sunday. He was the son of John and Mary Richardson Spencer of Baltimore and was graduated from the University of Maryland Medical School In 1892. That same year he came here to prac tice and married Miss Laura Virginia Steinacker of Baltimore. He was an active Mason and a member of the Maryland Medical and Chrirurgical Faculty and of the Southern Maryland Medical Society. Surviving are his widow, one daugh ter, Madeline, at home, and one son, Dr. Ernest Spencer, Jr., of Baltimore. The body will be removed to the son's home for funeral services. LEONARDTOWN, Md., March 13 — Funeral services were held this morn ing at the Sacred Heart Roman Cath olic Church for Miss Mary Roseita Thompson, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Thompson of Dynard, who died Monday of pneumonia at St. Mary s Hospital here. She was a sophomore at the Mar garet Brent High School at Helen. Surviving are her parents and four sisters. Misses Francis, Alberta, Lil lian and Lucille Thompson, all of Dy nard.
