YOUNG PEOPLE TO HOLD MEETING Bishop Freeman to Preside at Rock Creek Church Monday Night. A mass meeting of the Young Peo ple’s societies of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington will be held Monday night in the parish auditorium of Rock Creek Episcopal Church. Bishop James E. Freeman will preside and deliver the address. Assisting the bishop will be the four clergy advisers of the Y. P. F., W. Plumley and F. Butt and Rev. James F. Madison and the Y. P. F. chaplain. Rev. H. L. Doll. Rev. James F. Madison, a former member of Rock Creek parish and now assistant rector of St. John’s Church, will be the preacher at the 11 o’clock service tomorrow morning in Rock Creek Church. At 8 p.m. Dr. Franklin J. Bohanan, rector, will deliver his fourth lecture on the history and teachings of the Episcopal Church. Holy communion will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Canon Joseph Fletcher of Washing ton Cathedral will preach the sermon Wednesday. There will be celebration of holy communion at 10:30 o’clock Thursday. The Rock Creek Players have elected the following officers: president, Mrs. Ira Priddy; vice president, Mrs. R. Ager; secretary treasurer, Rodman Delk. Tomorrow will be observed as “Fam ily Sunday” in Holy Comforter Chapel, Rock Creek parish. 5714 Georgia ave nue. The services will include cele bration of holy communion at 7:30, morning prayer at 11 o’clock and eve ning prayer at 7:30 o’clock. The week day chapel services will include eve ning prayer at 7:30 on Tuesday and celebration of holy communion at 10 a.m. Friday. BISHOP TO SPEAK HERE New York Churchman to Preach at Union Services. Bishop Francis J. McConnell of the Methodist Episcopal Church of New York City will be the special Lenten preacher in the union service held under the auspices of all of the Protestant churches of Chevy Chase next Thursday evening.
