ADMR. A. L. WILLARD FUNERAL IS HELD Classmates Serve n Pallbearers. Burial in Arlington With Full Naval Honors. Funeral service* -with full naval honors were held this morning at the Fort Myer Chapel for Rear Ad miral Arthur Lee Willard, U. 8. N., retired, who died Sunday at hla home. 3101 Connecticut avenue. Burial followed In Arlington National Cemetery. The pallbearers were former class mates of Admiral Willard at Annapo lis. These Included Rear Admiral H. O. Gillmor, retired; Rear Admiral H. H. Hough, retired; Rear Admiral H. H. Christy, retired; Brig. Gen. George Richards, paymaster of the Marine Corps; Brig. Gen. R. H. Lane, U. 8. M. C., retired; Oapt. E. T. Pollock, U. 8. N., retired, and Oapt. Chester Wells, U 8. N., retired. Admiral Willard, who was 65, had spent 47 years of his life In the Navy and for several years was head of the Navy Yard here. Man Began Career Here at Board Boy—Funeral in Texas. Harry A. Lamborne. stock broker, who began his career here as a board boy with Hutton & Co., died yesterday at his home In Fort Worth, Tex., where he was associated with Bache St Co. A brother of Malcolm D. Lam borne, advertising writer here, he was a graduate of the old McKinley Tech nical High School. Since leaving Washington Mr. Lam borne had also been associated with Strandberg, McCreevy St Co. and Ben nett & Co. in Kansas City, Mo. At the outbreak of the World War he volunteered for the aviation serv ice. Upon finishing the course at the ground school in Urbana, 111., he was assigned to active duty In France when the armistice was signed, j Mr. Lamborne was born In Mobile. ! Ala.. July 13. 1887. He Is survived by his mother, Mrs. Clara M. Lam borne; his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Lam borne. and a stepson, Ralph. He also leaves another brother. RIDDLE RITES HELD TODAY Retired From Post Office Depart ment After 38 Yean—Died Suddenly. Funeral services were to be held today at 2:30 o'clock for Albert S Riddle, 71, an employe in the Post Office Department for 38 years, who died auddenly Saturday at his resi dence, 204 Hancock avenue, Takoma Park, Md. Services were to be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Cary, 403 Carroll avenue, Takoma Park, with burial In Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Riddle was born in Caro, Mich., but had lived In Washington since his employment in the Post Office De partment. He retired from that de partment about two years ago and his last position there was captain of the watch. He was well known throughout the Government unit and was a member of Columbia Com mandery.
