HYGIENE SOCIETY TO HJUDINNER Walter W. R. May to Make Principal Address at Annual Meeting. Walter W. R. May, director of the Chamber of Commerce of Portland, Oreg., and World War social hygiene liaison officer, will be the guest speaker at the eighteenth annual din ner meeting of the Social Hygiene Society of the District of Columbia in Barker Hall, Y. W. C. A., Seventeenth and K streets, at 7 p.m. Friday, May 1. , May will take as his subject “The Trail of Social Progress." After the war he became executive news editor of the Portland Oregonian, served as chairman of the Community Chest Campaign Committee during two suc cessful campaigns and became thor oughly familiar with the social wel fare activities and agencies of his , City. The society at this meeting will elect directors for two and three year terms. The Committee on Nominations, headed by Esther Scott, chairman, has reported the following nominees to be voted upon for three-year terms from May 1: Albert W. Atwood, Mrs. Samuel G.
