Your money back if you don’t agree that, iced or hot, it’s the best you’ve ever used. ANOTHER general conclave of educational groups designed to bring the little red sch #)I house closer to radio will be held In Washington in December, with more than a dozen organizations In terested In this development expected to participate. For the last decade, strenuous efforts have been made to procure from radio its maximum advantages as a mass educational medium. The educators, embattled over their past futile efforts, have repeatedly argued that they have been forced to "sugar coat" their program efforts to the point where all practical educational value was lo6t. The broadcasters on the bther hand, have maintained by and large that the educators would get nowhere with their "dry as dust” educational offerings. A concerted attack upon the prob lem, under the auspices of the Federal Communications Commission, how ever, now seems to be reaping re suits. A Federal Radio Education Committee was named, comprising some 40 leading figures In broadcast ing and In the educational field. They have been holding periodic meetings, looking toward mass pres entation of regularly scheduled edu cational programs over existing sta tions. The December conference does not Involve directly the work of the Fed eral Radio Educational Committee. It will be called the first National Conference on Educational Broad casting and is scheduled for Decem ber 10. 11 and 12. The United States officer of education and the F. C. C. are co-operating with the Planning Committee. w i A i'ioN wol nas mea an appli cation with the Federal Communi cations Commission asking permission to erect a new type vertical antenna and move Its transmitter and studio from the Annapolis Hotel to 1627 K street. AUTO HAS STOWAWAY KANSAS CITY, Kang. (jp.—Driving along gaily with laughing companions, Herman Reischman was startled to see a man’s head rise above the car’s radiator and start weaving back and forth.
