Murray Deener, 59, a lifelong resident of Washington and an em ploye of the Washington Gas Light Co. for the past 35 years, died unexpect edly at his home, 919 L street north east, last night. He had returned to his office yesterday, apparently recov ered from an illness of three days, and died a few hours after reaching home last night. The body is at the William J. Lee undertaking parlors. He was a member of Acacia Lodge, No. 18, P. A. A. M„ and an elder in the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member since early childhood. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Flora Phelps Deener, and two daugh ters. Miss Elizabeth M. Deener and Miss Nancy Phelps'Deener.
