Celebrates Founding
Of School Tonight

at the Hamilton Hotel, in honor of
the pioneers of American University,

At Wild Acres
Miss Gloria Grosvenor, daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert Grosvenor, will
entertain the members and pledges
of the George Washington University
Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at a formal
rush party for women who entered the
university this semester this evening at
her home, Wild Acres, in Besthda, Md.
Miss Grosvenor was a debutante of
the past season and resumed her
w studies at the university this semester.
Mrs. Fred Hobart entertained at a
Ttish tea Sunday at the home of her
parents. Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Little.
Mr*. Hobart is a pledge of Alpha Pi
Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi and cap
tain of the university varsity rifle

Mr. and Mrs. Marcus J. Lawrence
have returned to Washington and are
at the Shoreham for a month before
sailing for Honolulu. They have
been away since their wedding last
March. They spent considerable time
at their ranch at Rinrock, Ariz., and
later were in Palm Springs, Calif.,
and in Mexico. They came by auto
mobile to Washington from Mexico by
■way of New Orleans. Mrs. Lawrence
Is the former Miss Irma Jane Stout.

Mrs. William Rosendorf 1s in charge
of the entertainment for the after
noon and will present Mrs. Sylvia
Kaplowitz, accordionist, and Mrs.
Katherine Herzberg, soloist, and ad
ditional entertainment.

ganization will be held Wednesday
afternoon. February 24, at the Jew
ish Community Center.
