This has been an extraordinary season on Grape
fruit products. One of the largest Grapefruit crops
in history was produced. Similiarly, one of the
greatest distribution and salcs-promotion cam
paigns on any food product was successfully concluded,
resulting in much higher prices in the primary mar
kets toward the end of the season. Hence the cost
of canning juice was greatly increased as the season
ad vanced, due to the higher prices fruit growers were
receiving for their fresh fruit.
