The Church School will have charge sf the service at the First Congrega tional Church tomorrow at 11 am. ‘ Members of the senior department wOl lead the order of worship, and the children will give a pageant, “Friends." The Rev. Walter G. Borchers, Jr., assistant minister, will give a sermon talk, "America Tomor row.” Acting as ushers in place of the regular staff will be James Stacy, Orville Greenwood, Robert Wilcox and Kenneth Wilcox. The anthem “Come Unto Him” (Handel) will be sung by Leonore Aronson, June Baer, Eliza beth Crockett, Marie Erera, Alice Nix, Eunice Thomas, Joyce Soderstrom, Mildred Spencer and Louise Wingate. The Rev. Howard Stone Anderson, minister, will return from Beloit, Wis., where he has been attending the biennial sessions of the General Council of Congregational and Chris tian Churches, and report at the meeting Thursday evening on the happenings of the conference in gen eral and Roger Babson in particular. . DR. C. C. RASMUSSEN ANNOUNCES THEME ’The Shadow of the Almigthy’ to Be Topic in Morning at Lather Place Memorial. "The Shadow of the Almighty” is the topic of Dr. Carl C. Rasmussen, pastor of Luther Place Memorial Church, tomorrow morning. The choir and the quartet will sing. The Intermediate Luther League at 6 o'clock will hear Everett Alexis speak on "My Book Friendst” The senior league at 7 o’clock will hear the Rev. Reginald W. Deitz on “Growing Luth eran Unity.” The Rev. Mr. Deitz was ordained at the annual meeting of the New York Synod at Rochester, N. Y., cn June 15. The Rev. Dr. E. B. Burgess, president of the New York Synod, preached the ordination ser mon. The Young People’s Fellowship World Service Group will meet at the church parlors Tuesday evening. Will Be Held at Sherwood Presbyterian. The Rev. Thomas Law Coyle will preach tomorrow morning at Sher wood Presbyterian Church on “Trapped by Life." A special short service will be held at 9 and 11 un. The annual Christian Endeavor Conference for the District of Colum bia will be held in the church June 23 and 24. Registration win be in the Sunday school building Thursday at 10 a.m., and devotional classes are scheduled throughout the rest of the day. Theme of the conference will be “Youth Education in the Abundant Life.” Featuring the first day's pro gram will be the welcoming address by the Rev. Mr. Coyle at 10:30 a.m., an address by W. Roy Breg at 2 p.m., an open forum at 7:15 p.m., with the Rev. Peter Marshall, minister of the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, conducting, and at 8 pm, a social directed by Mrs. Thelma Smith of the Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church. On Friday at 1 p.m. the members will go to Mount Vernon for a service under the Christian Endeavor tree, planted by Dr. Francis E. Clark, founder of the movement.
