Fraternity’s Convention This Week Kappa Kappa Gammas to Meet At College Park Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity will hold the Lambda Province Con vention at College Park, Md„ on Friday and Saturday. This will be the first time the function has been held at the University of Maryland. Registration will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at the KKG House, fol lowed by meetings in the morning, a round table discussion and tour of campus in the afternoon and an in formal social gathering at Kappa House In the evening. The enter tainment will feature stunts by visiting delegates of chapter and associations Saturday morning. Dean«Adele Stamp or her assistant. Miss Howell, dean of women of the University of Maryland, will deliver an address at the formal meeting, followed by luncheon given by the Washington Alumnae Association. At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the conven tion banquet will be held at the Brook Farm Tea House, Chevy Chase, Md. Mrs. C. W. Leaphart, president of the Washington Alumnae Association, will be the guest speaker. The province is composed of six active chapters and 13 alumnae associations, with Miss Frances Wolfe of Linden, Silver Spring, Md., as president. The convention will be under the direction of Miss Wolfe, assisted by Dorothy Millar. Geral dine Schuh, Mrs. Tracy Coleman, Miss Elinor Broughton and Miss Nora Huber. Mrs. C. D. Larner, president of the College Park Alumnae Association, is co-hostess with Miss Nora Huber, president of Gamma Psi Chapter, College Park. .Women’s Alliance iTo Hear Talk Dr. Winfred Overholzer of St. Elizabeth's Hospital will speak be fore the Women's Alliance of All Souls’ Unitarian Church on Friday on “Mental Diseases and What to Do.” Norman F. Wentworth, traffic editor of the Washington Post, will speak on “Traffic—What to Do and What Not to Do.” Mrs. Lloyd Chavez will preside as hostess at the luncheon, following the meeting. Figure Skating Club to Meet Miss Dorothy Snell and other members of the Washington Figure fkating Club will take part in the first amateur skating show which the club will sponsor at the Riverside Stadium tomorrow at 7:30 o'clock. Sorority Plans Anniversary The Washington Alumnae Chap ter of Beta Sigma Omicron will celebrate its birthday anniversary on Friday at the home of Mrs. Charles Edwin Barton, 6223 Thirty third street N.W. Beta Sigma Omicron celebrated its golden jubilee on December 12 with all three founders still alive. The Washington Alumnae Chapter is only seven years old, having been founded on March 10, 1932, by Mrs. Robert Mason De Shazo, assisted by Mrs. Carl Giroux. Mrs. De Shazo served as president for five years and Mrs. Giroux, her successor, is now completing her second term.
