ATLANTA, Feb. 24.—The Ameri
can Federation of Labor here next
week end will launch an organiza
tion drive in fields which heretofore
* have resisted unionization.
Headed by Federation President

other problems affecting both em
ployes and employers.

duce 500,000 new members by Octo
ber. which he said would give the

The drive in the South will be
concentrated on textiles, retail trade,
“ marine workers, office and white col
lar workers. Government employes
and “miscellaneous industries,” he

about more uniformity in existing
laws.”

To Exhibit Prints
The Arlington <Va.) Camera Club
will place its prints, together with
the third annual travel salon of the
Photographic Society of America,
on exhibition in the National Mu
seum Saturday.
The public may see the exhibition j
until March 31 in the Natural His
tory Building of the National Mu
seum. Tenth street and Constitution
avenue N.W.
Judging the display will be three
prominent local photographers. Miss
Eleanor P. Custis. H. E. West and
D. R. Craig. Ten photographs of j
their own will be shown by the
Judges.

Porters' Auxiliary Unit
To Meet Wednesday
Mrs. Rosina C. Tucker, recently
elected international secretary
treasurer of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of
the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car
Porters, will preside at a meeting
of the local unit of the auxiliary at j

Mrs. Tucker was honored on
February 16 at a testimonial dinner
given by the auxiliary at the White
law Hotel. She organized the
auxiliary 14 years ago and assisted
in the formation of the local group.
