HKNRYITTA. « Women Who Served Overseas to Honor War Dead Today Patriotic Session Also Scheduled; Convention Opens Tomorrow A pre-convention program, in cluding a patriotic session and me morial services today will occupy delegates to the 20th national con vention of the Women’s Overseas Service League, which opens to morrow at the Wardman Park Hotel. Many of the delegates will attend mass and breakfast today at the National Catholic School of Social Service for women who served over seas with the National Catholic War Council. At 12:45 p.m. Miss Ruth McClel land, national president of the league, will place a wreath on the tomb of Woodrow Wilson in Wash ington Cathedral. The delegates will then go to Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Services to Honor Dead. Memorial services in honor of the 347 women who died in service over seas during the World War will be held at Epiphany Church at 4 p.m., with Dr. Ze Barney Phillips, chap lain of the Senate, conducting the i service. The roll will be read by Miss McClelland. Veterans’ organi | zations and auxiliaries, the Gold Star Mothers and War Mothers will j have representatives present. Members of the league still in j service with the Red Cross will be 1 hostesses at a tea in the garden of Red Cross headquarters at 5 p.m. Patriotic Session. Dr. Barclay Acheson, former di ! rector of overseas work for Near ! East Relief and now associate edi tor of Reader's Digest, will be the principal speaker at the patriotic session in the evening at the Ward man Park Theater. Forrest S. Rutherford, who was an entertainer overseas with the Y. M. C. A., will give a program of songs. A num ber of historical movie shorts will be shown. Representatives of various vet erans’ organizations and the organi zations with which the women served overseas w'ill greet them at the ! formal opening of the convention i tomorrow morning.
